Plans to filter criminal content on web

I have just read on the BBC website that Australia intends to introduce filters which will ban access to websites containing criminal content. The banned sites will be selected by an independent classification body guided by complaints from the public. A seven month trial in conjunction with internet service providers found the technology behind the filter to be 100% effective. As expected some internet users are deeply opposed to web "censorship".I'm sure the UK will not be far behind in producing similar filters for our own networks. Read the full web filter article.
